Biographical Information: I was born in the small central African country of Malawi but moved to Canada (via England) as a small child. I grew up in the capital city of Ottawa, Ontario, and moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia as a teenager, where I remained until I finished my PhD at Dalhousie University. I moved to the States in 2002, where I was a visiting professor at Clarke College for two years. I've been here at UT Tyler since July 2004, where I am working on developing the applied math program. I live in Tyler with my adorable dogs. Besides math, I enjoy reading, swimming, running, yoga, listening to music (especially "Outlaw Country"), target shooting (badly, unfortunately), cooking (and eating), and watching hockey (go Oilers!).
